Lady Of The Month May Edition: Parker McKenna Posey

After last month lady of the month I knew that I had to come back strong, and I was so excited when this young lady Ms. Parker Posey agreed to being my lady of the month. If you’re not familiar with the beautiful actress, Parker McKenna Posey, then let me refresh your memory. she stars on the hit show, My Wife and Kids, Posey was known as Kady Melissa Jheny Spilken Kyle, played the youngest child in the Kyle family. Last year, she broke the internet when everyone (mostly men) saw how beautiful she grew up to be. She did a small interview with me about what she finds attractive in a man, and what her craziest date she been on.

1. What kind of men you into and what do you look for in a man?
I love a hardworking man. Someone who’s passionate and talented! That’s very attractive to me. Someone who makes time for me, who respects my opinion, and most importantly someone who can make me laugh. If you can make me laugh 24-7 and keep up with me, you’re a keeper! Also, its really important how a man treats his mom, and the women in his family/inner circle.

2. What is the craziest date you been on and what your ideal date?
Ideal date would be helicopter ride! or Hot air balloon. I love concerts too! Something different and exciting. Or something simple like a picnic at the beach with my favorite Stella, good conversation & laughs.
Craziest date… I honestly can’t even think of anything! I’ve had a few crazy experiences with a couple crazy exs lol! But I haven’t dated too many people to where there’s been too many crazy dates.

3. What is your favorite body part on a man?
I love a nice back. Maybe even calves! Ha-ha that’s probably weird. & A super cute smile gets me every time!!

4. How you feel about black love and what kind we do to make it stronger?
Black love is so inspiring to me. I love seeing couples that have been together for decades + Very motivating! & it gives me hope that fairy tales do exist! It’s all about effort, trust, and communication to me! I think more people need to value monogamy, and find comfort in the fact that there can be one person who you can grow with, learn from, do anything you’ve ever imagined with, and love unconditionally (vice versa). People need to trust more!

5. For you what more important in a relationship a spiritual connection or physical connection (once you pick explain your reasons behind your choice)?
I personally feel like you have no business being with anyone you don’t have a physical connection with. So that’s always a given to me… Having a spiritual connection with someone just enhances every aspect of your life/relationship. Spirituality has always been a part of my life, and I think it’s important to connect to a bigger power.

6. How do you show your love for your spouse and how do they show love in return?
I am not married. But I try to show my love to my significant other by being there when he needs someone to vent to, cooking for him, giving him massages I think I could be a pretty good masseuse! :) and most importantly just being his number one fan!

I think we both enjoy showing each other different things. Whether its traveling, food, music, or even movies we enjoy “putting each other on” to things we each think are awesome.
I think the biggest way my boyfriend has shown love to me is dealing with all my crazy ways of course ;) ha ha, and the fact that he’s gotten over his fear of dogs. I had two before we got together and I was concerned how we could make it last if he literally hated dogs... but now almost 3 years later we have our very own dog Jett! Who sleeps in the bed with us every night... I NEVER thought I’d see the day!

With all that being said…
I think it’s important to always have your significant others back! Support them through anything. The crazy phases we all go through, the good & the bad, really value how they feel/ their opinions, communicate & trust! Go hard for one another!! & everything will work out like it’s supposed to. :)

XO

The Top Five Worst Women To Be In A Relationship With

Well, I was asked, and I deliver so to speak. Even though I don’t post the letters of questions I receive from women, I still answer back. And I read these letters seeing how women answer their own questions, to why they have relationship problems. I knew if I wrote this article that I would be label as a “pick me” and that not even the case. I’m far from a “pick me” but I have observed certain behavior where I knew why these women were still single. This list is not only for my readers, writing this made me look at some of my actions as well in what areas I need to work on as I continue to grow as a woman. Before I wrote this, I had to ask 5 men, and these were the women they chose who gave them hell. Yes, I’m aware that some of these actions were fueled by the hand of men who let them down and broke their heart. But it's no point to carry that into your next relationship. Like I always say you don’t have to agree with me, but it has to be written. So, here are the top five wors…

When Hurt People Hurt: Nas and Kelis

You can’t fix what you didn’t break. Sometimes the demons we face, are not the person we’ve dated fault. We’ll never know the demons anyone truly face, until they decide if they want to take it out on us. We try to be there and show them something different but soon realize their demons are slowly killing us. As I come to learn a man is his mother image. A man is what his mother make him to be, he may carry out some of his father actions; but his character come from his mother. Like a woman is what her father tell her to be. Whether he speak it with his words or speak it with his actions (by not being in her life), a woman carry her father words with her everywhere she goes and in all of her relationships. That why sometimes when a man is reckless, if his mother understand his actions then no one else opinion of him even matter. Vice versa with a woman. We chose to play doctor but doesn’t stay around to fully cure that person injuries. We just add more cuts, to an already wounded soul…

Dating In Memphis: Top 5 Places To Go On a Date In Memphis

If you’re from Memphis then you know everyone favorite line here is “it nothing to do in Memphis”. Before last year I used to think the same thing. Going to the same hangouts, and eating at the same restaurants then getting on social media crying about how it nothing to do here or Memphis isn’t safe anymore. And of course, everyone favorite line "they shut down all the fun places in Memphis". It wasn’t until one night that I went out, and I had the time of my life at a place I never been before. The crazy part is I drove past this place several times not knowing it was a great place to hang out, and have fun (then the food was good). Since everyone here claim it nothing to do in Memphis, it leads to lack of creativity in the dating department. Well, this is where I step in and try to help. Dating is what keep the relationship alive. No matters how long you been with the person, you still have to date that person to keep that fire burning. The thing is nowhere in this univers…
